I also got black wireless keyboard/mouse thing that is sold separately. Otherwise you can use your (not sure if any device will work, you need to check) wireless keyboard and mouse, or just mouse, ‘cause there is on-screen keyboard option in all the menus and applications. The first problem for me with wireless controller was to find its receiver, only the next day I found out that the receiver was hidden behind the back cover, you need to pull the cover with a knife and then youll notice that there are no batteries in it, so you need to buy 3 AAA batteries (I’m not a big fan of reading manuals, but after I looked it through, still I don’t remember seeing any information about this in it). So, the first few hours (before I asked guys at the store) I was using the device with my wireless mouse and had a chance to compare it with this accessory. Of course it was easier for me to use regular mouse at first due to lifetime experience of using it. But still keyboard-remote is not so bad, you get used to it easily, sure, you can click each letter in on-screen keyboard like when you use only mouse, but it’s easier to type with the keyboard of the remote. The only thing is that you need to press all the buttons hard enough to be sure you type what you want, I missed some letter while my first tries, but the next day that was not a problem for me, you just need to think of it like texting on your cell-phone (when you push buttons hard enough to hear the click or sound), not like typing on a keyboard. After a few minutes of practice I somewhat got used to remote, though sometimes you need to hold it in a strange way to move the pointer and it seems like the remote is pointing more to the right than the pointer on the screen.
To connect UG007 via Wi-Fi I used Connectify-me application. I have to use due my internet connection at home. My internet is connected through VPN (“Zelenaya Tochka”) and it cant just connect through Wi-Fi router, because I need to connect to VPN on my computer to use internet. I had this problem when I was trying to connect my PS3, I couldn’t find any solution in the internet, but accidentally found this Connectify program which was very useful (though only shareware PRO version lets you share internet, at least at the latest versions). So I connected to Connectify hotspot but when I tried to browse web it disconnected and I could not connect to this hotspot at all. Everything worked fine after reboot, though I could not get internet connection when my computer with Connectify hotspot was not in the room with UG007. Every time I took my computer in any other room, the connection dropped (there was no speed).
I should mention that I used stock PSU and power cable. It will be better if you try PSU and a power cable of better quality. Try shorter cable and 5V2A PSU especially if you have an overclocked stick. If you have bad Wi-Fi connection and you cant move hotspot closer to stick you can try opening the box and leaving it like that or de-solder internal antenna into an external one.
Just to test the device I installed the applications that I already played at other Android or iOS devices. I tried Angry Birds and other games of such a kind and of course this device runs them easily.
